This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Assist in client delivery related to carbon accounting, sustainability reporting, research, and broader operational activities.
• Analyze and clean raw client data from various sources, including utility, logistics, financial, and operational data such as electricity consumption, vehicle mileage, fuel usage, annual expense reports, and more.
• Integrate data from different formats into organized Excel reports utilized in internal carbon modeling tools.
• Restructure disorganized spreadsheets, extract and input data from scanned or PDF documents, ensuring alignment by scope, location, date, and emission source.
• Identify and report anomalies and discrepancies, including mismatched dates, unexpected usage spikes, duplicated entries, or incorrect units.
• Create concise discrepancy reports or summaries to assist consultants in client follow-ups.
• Employ advanced Excel functions such as PivotTables, VLOOKUP, filters, conditional formatting, and other data management techniques to enhance data structure, readability, and overall quality.
• Support carbon consultants by addressing data-related inquiries and collaborating through Microsoft Teams, Slack, and other internal communication platforms.
• Occasionally aid in assigning emission factors (when applicable) or highlight missing information that requires client input.
• Work closely with the consulting and delivery team to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality deliverables for clients.
• Help minimize data preparation turnaround times and contribute to high-quality reporting results for external clients.
• Participate in ongoing enhancements to data preparation processes and operational efficiency.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, auditing, or financial analysis, preferably in a consulting setting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, data cleaning, filtering, sorting, and effective management of large datasets.
• Experience handling expense data, purchase ledgers, utility data, or similar financial and operational documents.
• Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail, including the capacity to detect unusual patterns, comprehend numerical relationships, and identify inconsistencies.
• Comfortable managing inconsistent file formats such as Excel, PDF, and scanned documents, and converting them into structured datasets.
• Business-minded with the ability to grasp business requirements and apply analytical insights to achieve practical client outcomes.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and datasets simultaneously while ensuring accuracy.
• Experience working in a consulting or professional services context, managing various client priorities and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Teams or Slack for internal collaboration and communication.
• Exceptional written communication skills in professional English, capable of clearly articulating data-related issues to internal stakeholders.
• Eager to learn new systems and adapt quickly to changing technologies and internal processes.
