Data Analytics Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and prioritize requests in collaboration with the Data Analysts team, taking into account complexity, effort, and business impact.

• Facilitate communication between Project Managers and the data team, ensuring clarity regarding deadlines, scope, and technical feasibility.

• Offer guidance and technical support to the Data Analysts team, aiding in the development of dashboards, analyses, and data layers within Looqbox.

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with Data Analysts to track technical growth and performance.

• Work closely with Data Analysts and Project Managers on a daily basis, acting as the senior technical reference for the data team.

• Ensure that clients' goals and requirements are accurately converted into metrics, KPIs, and data specifications by the team.

• Direct and review intricate exploratory and ad hoc analyses (such as cohorts, funnel, segmentations, performance variations, and root-cause analyses), addressing the most critical cases directly.

• Establish guidelines and maintain consistency in the semantic metrics layer (definitions, business rules, dimensions) and the team's documentation.

• Set and review standards for data visualization and the quality of the team's deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Python (including pandas, numpy, notebooks) and SQL.

• Prior experience in managing or leading teams.

• Capability to evaluate priority and technical complexity of requests, as well as to negotiate deadlines and manage expectations.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to transition smoothly between technical and business language.

• Knowledge of descriptive statistics and foundational concepts of inference.

• Familiarity with programming best practices, including version control (Git), documentation, and refactoring.

• Intermediate proficiency in English.

• Nice to have:

• Experience with AI tools applied to data.

• Background in the retail sector.

• Experience working with medium and large enterprise clients.

• Knowledge in dimensional modeling and building semantic layers for analytics.

• Experience with orchestration/ETL tools (such as Airflow) and non-relational databases.
