This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kenya.
• Design, develop, and sustain analytics-ready datasets and data models to facilitate reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics.
• Create and enhance data transformation logic to ensure efficient and dependable analytical outputs.
• Assist in building curated analytics layers that provide consistent and reusable insights across teams.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to data quality, performance, and pipelines that affect analytics delivery.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to convert analytical needs into datasets, metrics, and visualizations.
• Enable the downstream usage of analytics outputs through reporting tools and dashboards.
• Provide support for ad-hoc analyses and exploratory data requirements as needed.
• Facilitate and support analytics-driven solutions developed with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Design and oversee data integrations that permit Power Platform solutions to utilize analytics datasets effectively.
• Work alongside Power Platform developers to ensure analytics outputs are organized and optimized for application and automation purposes.
• Aid in troubleshooting data-related challenges affecting Power Platform applications, flows, and reports.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance analytics workflows and delivery processes.
• Contribute to the continual improvement of analytics practices, performance, and usability.
• Document analytics solutions, datasets, and integration patterns to facilitate maintainability and knowledge sharing.
• Write and sustain SQL-based data transformations and automated data quality assessments to guarantee data integrity.
• Mentor junior team members and foster team knowledge development and technical advancement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related STEM discipline; or an equivalent blend of education, certifications, and professional experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in data analytics engineering, analytics development, or similar roles supporting enterprise analytics solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including CTEs, window functions, complex joins, and query performance optimization.
• Proficient in Python for data manipulation, pipeline scripting, and automation tasks.
• Experience using Git version control for collaborative development and code management.
• Background in designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
• Strong grasp of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star/snowflake schema design.
• Practical experience working with Power BI and integrating analytics datasets into Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.
• Comprehensive understanding of data modeling, analytical datasets, and how analytics outputs are utilized by reporting tools and applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure Entra ID for secure access to analytics and Power Platform solutions.
• Experience collaborating with Power Platform developers to support analytics-driven apps, reports, and automations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to convey analytical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience assisting business users and analysts by promoting self-service analytics and data-driven innovation.
• Certifications such as (preferred but not mandatory):
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate
