This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Accountable for interpreting data, analyzing outcomes, and utilizing statistical methodologies;
• Design and execute data analyses, data collection frameworks, and other strategies that enhance efficiency and statistical integrity;
• Gather data from both primary and secondary sources while maintaining databases;
• Enforce database security measures and protocols;
• Establish best practices for data administration processes within the SME context and ensure they are upheld as necessary;
• Construct data extraction pipelines from diverse sources and store them in a Data Lake utilizing Python, Apache Airflow, and Data Factory;
• Provide support and monitor the client's data platform;
• Install, configure, and keep database management systems, including their services and administration interfaces, up to date;
• Regularly verify compliance of the database environment, particularly focusing on high availability, relational integrity of databases, backup integrity, and identifying potential vulnerabilities;
• Conduct performance testing and monitoring on databases, making necessary adjustments to environments, and planning capacity while managing access levels to ensure data security.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Computer Science, Engineering, or another field related to data.
• Desired experience: 4 years in a data-focused area utilizing agile methodologies;
• Expertise in data modeling — conceptual, logical, and physical — for both the enterprise data model and other relational and multidimensional data models, while maintaining and versioning all developed scripts.
• Knowledge and skills in the programming languages and technologies pertinent to the working environment;
• Proficient in the installation, administration, customization, and maintenance of DBMS (Database Management Systems);
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other data architecture components such as Elasticsearch, Hadoop, and Apache Kafka;
• Familiarity with backup routines using PITR (Point-in-Time Recovery);
• Ability to program for data processing and APIs;
• Experience with data visualization tools, data mining, programmatic and version-controlled ETL, data anonymization, open data practices, and generating analytical reports;
