• Analyze integrated and extensive datasets to derive value.
• Collaborate effectively with key business stakeholders to pinpoint areas of value, devise solutions, and provide insights.
• Measure and report the actual impact of contract and network changes against anticipated outcomes.
• Produce standardized, structured reports to monitor implementation accuracy and confirm savings.
• Interpret and analyze data from various sources, including claims, provider, member, and encounter data.
• Identify and evaluate the business impact of emerging trends.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot intricate scripts and reports using SQL, Microsoft Excel, or other analytical tools.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of large-scale projects with minimal direction from leadership.
• Assist in designing, testing, and implementing process enhancements while identifying opportunities for automation.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of data discrepancies and present findings and proposed solutions to leadership and/or customers.
• Manage multiple, variable tasks and data review processes with limited supervision while adhering to targeted timelines.
• Exhibit a sense of ownership over projects and pose insightful questions to comprehend the business value of tasks.
• Leverage expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to gain insights beyond the numbers, understanding customer interactions with analytic products.
• Collaborate across all levels of the organization and effectively communicate findings and insights to non-technical business partners.
• Engage independently with customers and business partners to gather requirements and validate results.
• Convey and present data-driven insights and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience with large databases, data verification, and data management or 2+ years of IT experience.
• Healthcare analytics experience preferred.
• Proficient in SQL/querying languages.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and R is preferred.
• Knowledge of statistical, analytical, or data mining techniques, including basic data modeling, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis is preferred.
• Preferred experience with modern business intelligence and visualization tools, including Microsoft PowerBI.
• Experience in emerging trend analysis, financial modeling, claims pricing, contract/network analysis, and/or ROI evaluation preferred.
• Understanding of claims payment, utilization management, provider/vendor contracts, and risk adjustment for government-sponsored healthcare is desired.
