Data Analyst – Health Informatics Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical evaluation of five interconnected IHS data systems: RPMS (electronic health record), Clinical Reporting System (CRS), iCARE population management tool, NIRS/National Vaccine Coverage dashboard, and GPRA performance measures.

• Create a comprehensive Systems Analysis Report detailing the metrics each system measures, their data sources and methodologies, reporting frequency and outputs, as well as limitations.

• Track the complete data lineage from patient-level RPMS records through CRS extraction to national aggregation, and address discrepancies in data definitions among systems.

• Evaluate data quality concerns, reporting inconsistencies, and interpretation errors that diminish confidence in coverage data.

• Convert technical findings into easy-to-understand content for user guidance, process maps, and training documentation.

• Assist in the creation of report interpretation instructions: how to analyze the numbers, identify coverage gaps, and monitor progress over time.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Public Health, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in analyzing healthcare data, clinical reporting systems, performance metrics, dashboards, data quality assessments, and reporting methods.

• Familiarity with healthcare data systems and reporting tools; experience with RPMS/CRS/iCARE is highly preferred.

• Background in clinical quality measures (GPRA, HEDIS, UDS, eCQMs) and immunization data (IIS, vaccine coverage measurement).

• Proficiency in analytical and visualization tools (SQL, Excel, Power BI/Tableau, SAS/R/Python).
