This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Assist in researching and documenting the business data needs, under the guidance of a Senior/Lead profile.
• Participate in interviews and observation sessions.
• Fill in and keep the Assessment Matrix/Data Traceability Matrix updated.
• Support in interpreting and presenting results (under supervision).
• Construct basic to intermediate SQL queries as input for development teams.
• Collaborate in validating that the solutions align with business objectives (identifying inconsistencies, not necessarily proposing optimizations).
• Draft requirement documents and workflow descriptions.
• Aid in the adoption of data solutions by verifying data consistency.
• Execute information validation tests based on defined criteria.
• Assist in data quality assessment (performing checks, not designing frameworks).
• Support in designing logical data models/BI.
• Effective communication with technical and development teams (essential).
• Basic financial analytical skills (desirable).
• Basic to intermediate knowledge in statistics and probability (essential).
• Structured thinking (essential).
• Self-management and willingness to learn (essential).
• Team collaboration/leadership still in development (desirable, not essential as in Senior roles).
• Understanding of ETL and data flows (desirable).
• Interest or exposure to financial indicators in retail business (expertise not required).
• Data-oriented business analysis and business intelligence systems (0–2 years).
• Participation in interviews with business users and gathering requirements/KPIs (0–2 years, ideally accompanied).
• Data analysis with SQL, basic joins between sources (intermediate level).
• Support in documenting requirements and workflows.
• Basic understanding of data solution diagramming (high level, with guidance).
• Assist in translating requirements to Data Engineering/Architecture and BI solutions.
• Prepare simple reports and presentations (pptx, Google Slides, BI dashboards).
• Interest in analytical models (advanced mastery not expected yet).
• Basic programming skills (desirable, e.g. basic Python).
• Exposure to Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) as a team member.
