This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Proactive planning and policy formulation with a talent for identifying vulnerabilities and crafting innovative solutions to safeguard systems and data from potential threats.
• Proven ability and experience in anticipating risks and vulnerabilities, thinking one step ahead.
• A calming presence who offers experienced, fact-based guidance and decisions that instill confidence in teams and clients during cyberattacks and incident responses.
• Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity practices, tools, and technologies necessary to lead, mentor, and support a team of security professionals, providers, and client team members through network security, encryption techniques, and incident response.
• Work collaboratively with clients to grasp their security needs and design customized security solutions, encompassing firewall configurations, intrusion detection and prevention systems, endpoint protection, and beyond.
• Supervise the implementation and configuration of security solutions, ensuring alignment with client objectives and adherence to industry best practices.
• Direct the incident response team in detecting and addressing security incidents and breaches.
• Formulate and execute incident response plans to minimize impact and avert future occurrences.
• Implement and manage security information and event management (SIEM) systems for monitoring and analyzing security events.
• Partner with clients to create security policies, procedures, and best practices to bolster overall security posture.
• Oversee vulnerability assessments and penetration testing efforts. Collaborate with clients to rectify vulnerabilities and enhance security defenses.
• Ensure clients' security environments comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Assist in audits and compliance evaluations.
• Cultivate robust client relationships, providing regular updates, status reports, and addressing security issues and inquiries.
• Offer leadership, coaching, and mentorship to product, system, and tool engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Cybersecurity, Information Technology, etc.).
• 10 or more years of experience in cybersecurity.
• Industry certifications such as ITIL v4, Security+, Network+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, compliance standards, and industry regulations.
• Experience working with clients and delivering security services within an MSSP or MSP context.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, meeting client demands and deadlines.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust methodologies.
• Familiarity with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is preferred.
• Experience in deploying and managing NGFW and SASE solutions from vendors such as Zscaler, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco/Meraki, Crowdstrike, Microsoft, Cylance, and Webroot.
• Security clearance is highly desirable; the ability to obtain a government security clearance is required.
