CyberSecurity Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Development of security strategies: Partner with clients to create and implement robust cybersecurity strategies. Establish security frameworks, policies, and roadmaps that align with clients' business goals, risk tolerance, and industry best practices.

• Implementation of security controls: Design and execute advanced security measures and technologies in accordance with industry standards and regulatory mandates. This may include configuring and integrating various security solutions, such as SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.

• Design of security architecture: Offer expertise in crafting secure systems, networks, and cloud environments. Create security architectures that conform to industry best practices, regulatory standards, and the unique requirements of clients. Evaluate and recommend security measures for new technology deployments.

• Management of projects: Oversee and manage intricate cybersecurity projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with quality benchmarks.

• Management of client relationships: Build and sustain strong relationships with clients. Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring effective communication and promptly addressing client issues or escalations.

• Research and leadership in thought: Remain informed about the latest trends in cybersecurity, emerging threats, and technological advancements. Conduct research and contribute to thought leadership efforts, such as whitepapers, industry presentations, and internal training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT audit, or a related position, with progressively increasing responsibilities.

• Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.

• Expertise in network and system security concepts, including secure architecture design and/or secure coding practices.

• Project management capabilities, with the proficiency to lead and manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively conveying complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to implement industry standards and best practices (such as CIS, NIST, PCI, HIPAA, etc.) in the realms of IT, Network, Cloud, and Enterprise Architecture.

• Experience with a focus on information security (INFOSEC), Cybersecurity, Data Security, Network Security, or other related areas.
