Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst – SkillBridge Internship

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Acquire and implement fundamental principles of cyber threat intelligence, encompassing the intelligence lifecycle, threat actor TTPs, and MITRE ATT&CK framework.

• Assist in the identification, enrichment, and contextualization of indicators of compromise (IOCs) utilizing open-source tools and commercial platforms.

• Observe SOC analysts to gain insights into alert triage processes and understand how CTI can fulfill SOC requirements.

• Support the development of threat actor profiles, threat alerts, and campaign summaries under supervision.

• Promote information exchange and feedback between CTI and SOC teams to ensure intelligence outputs align with operational needs.

• Engage in the creation of actionable intelligence products tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Contribute to the processes of the CTI team and assist in identifying opportunities for integration and operational enhancements.

• Current active duty service member approved for participation in the DoD SkillBridge program.

• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and terminology.

• Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving aptitude.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently in a professional setting.

• Familiarity with threat intelligence concepts such as IOCs, TTPs, and threat actor groups is preferred.

• Experience with cybersecurity tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, or threat intelligence platforms) is preferred.

• A keen interest in pursuing a career in cybersecurity or threat intelligence following transition is preferred.
