This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee the implementation, administration, and ongoing enhancement of security solutions outlined in the organization’s security program to ensure the adequate protection of information assets.
• Manage daily security operations, providing support and maintenance for a diverse array of information security products.
• Collaborate with other cyber security team members to coordinate, facilitate, and effectively implement and uphold compliance with the organization’s security policies and procedures.
• Administer the security posture, identify and address vulnerabilities, perform threat modeling, implement threat protection strategies, and respond to security incident escalations.
• Investigate, respond to, and proactively hunt for threats utilizing Microsoft Azure Sentinel, Azure Defender, Microsoft 365 Defender, and various third-party security products.
• Implement and manage secure systems to guarantee the confidentiality, integrity, availability, safety, privacy, and recovery of digital assets.
• Develop, manage, and support secure network solutions in order to guard against threats.
• Monitor security advisory groups and ensure that necessary updates, patches, and preventive measures are effectively applied.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A bachelor’s degree in management information systems, cybersecurity, computer programming, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of three years of experience with Microsoft products in areas including: Cloud Security, O365, Azure AD, Azure Identities and governance, Identity and Access Management, Microsoft Azure Sentinel, Azure Information Protection, Cloud App Security, MS Defender, and Endpoint Security.
• At least one Microsoft security solution certification such as: Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate, or Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate.
• Highly vigilant and detail-oriented to effectively detect vulnerabilities and risks, swiftly identifying concerns and implementing real-time security solutions to address issues before they escalate.
• Proven experience in successfully executing programs that achieve excellence in a dynamic and highly matrixed business environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to make decisions and lead in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
• A strong history of sound judgment and the professional handling of highly confidential and sensitive matters.
• Awareness of the latest trends and current hacking techniques and cybercrime, coupled with a desire to learn and self-educate to remain updated on best practices and emerging industry trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities, enabling clear and concise discussions on cybersecurity strategy and policy, and the ability to convey technical information to individuals with varying levels of technical understanding, from senior management to technical experts.
