This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Facilitate ad-hoc security consulting initiatives with various business teams (such as Finance, Marketing, and GenAI) to identify risks and implement effective, people-oriented solutions.
• Take ownership of, develop, and enhance the Security Champions program, extending its reach beyond engineering to encompass the entire organization.
• Design, deliver, and maintain security training and educational materials tailored to diverse audiences and learning preferences.
• Develop and sustain communication formats aimed at knowledge sharing, including all-hands presentations and asynchronous modules.
• Construct and refine security processes and standards that cater to the broader business needs.
• Assist in managing compliance and onboarding training in collaboration with Canva U (our internal Learning & Development team).
• Cultivate strong working relationships across Security, Risk, Trust & Safety, and essential business partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities – capable of collaborating with Canvanauts from diverse backgrounds, expertise levels, and professional requirements.
• A solid foundational understanding of organizational cyber security risks (including social engineering, insider threats, and shadow IT) and suitable remediation strategies.
• Experience in implementing processes, drafting standards, or creating guidelines to systematically address security risks.
• Proven track record of driving projects through collaboration with other teams while securing stakeholder buy-in.
• Experience in supporting programs or services to adapt based on feedback and function effectively over the long term.
• A proactive problem-solver who approaches challenges confidently, explores unfamiliar areas, and engages others in the process.
