Cyber Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations into advanced and persistent threats utilizing data analysis and data science tools.

• Examine customer web traffic to identify hidden threats and minimize false positives, employing Elasticsearch and BigQuery.

• Research, design, and continually improve detection mechanisms to keep pace with evolving threats.

• Offer real-time technical assistance to global customers, ensuring professional and prompt incident responses.

• Generate clear and insightful incident reports.

• Collaborate across departments with R&D and Research teams to enhance the company’s detection and mitigation capabilities.

• Plan, design, and execute internal automation projects aimed at boosting team efficiency.

• Work on a shift-based schedule, including weekends.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in data analysis within the cybersecurity or fraud detection fields, including proficiency with logs and dashboards.

• Proficient in SQL: capable of executing complex queries, aggregations, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, filters, window functions (e.g., RANK()), CTEs, and subqueries.

• Technical knowledge of web technologies and client-server architecture (APIs, HTTP, basic HTML/JavaScript).

• Familiarity with SIEM systems (experience with the Elastic Stack is a plus).

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in customer support, with direct client communication; professionalism and courtesy are crucial.

• Excellent English communication skills.
