Cyber Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations into advanced and persistent threats utilizing data analysis and data science tools.

• Examine customer web traffic to identify unknown threats and minimize false positives by leveraging Elasticsearch and BigQuery.

• Research, develop, and continually refine detection mechanisms to stay ahead of emerging threats.

• Offer real-time technical support to global clients, ensuring professional and prompt incident responses.

• Generate clear and insightful incident reports.

• Collaborate effectively with R&D and Research teams to enhance the company's detection and mitigation capabilities.

• Design, strategize, and execute internal automation projects to boost team efficiency.

• Work on a shift-based schedule, which includes weekends.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in data analysis within the cybersecurity or fraud detection fields, including familiarity with logs and dashboards.

• Proficient in SQL: adept at complex queries, aggregations, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, filters, window functions (e.g., RANK()), CTEs, and subqueries.

• Solid understanding of web technologies and client-server architecture (APIs, HTTP, basic HTML/JavaScript).

• Experience with SIEM systems; familiarity with the Elastic Stack is a plus.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

• Background in customer support, with direct client communication; professionalism and courtesy are crucial.

• Excellent English communication skills.

• Experience in a Cybersecurity Analyst/Researcher role, particularly in supporting external clients in threat detection and response, is a plus.

• Knowledge of web security and security research including web application security, bot management, and fraud detection is advantageous.

• Familiarity with research methodologies (hypothesis testing, verification, and research planning) is a plus.

• Knowledge of Python and JavaScript would be beneficial.

• Experience with BigQuery/Snowflake is a plus.

• Proficiency in creating dashboards using BI tools (Snowflake, Looker, Kibana, JSM) is a plus.
