Cyber Defence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Assist the SOC (Security Operations Centre) in its operations

• Play a role in delivering cyber/technology risk services in collaboration with New Zealand's largest organizations

• Help develop a response framework for a globally scalable cyber defense strategy

• Offer technical advice to client organizations

• Work alongside project teams to ensure the integration of security considerations

• Monitor and analyze security incidents

• Support security engineering initiatives by implementing and maintaining robust controls

• Engage in crisis simulation drills

• Research and remain updated on the latest trends and best practices in the field

• Excellent written and oral communication abilities

• Capability to convey technical knowledge as well-considered advice

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail

• Comfort in client-facing roles

• Ability to excel in dynamic, fast-paced environments

• Understanding of Windows system internals, Defender, and Active Directory's function within enterprises (advantageous)

• Familiarity with EPP/EDR tools like Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Palo-Alto, or similar (advantageous)

• Knowledge of identity management products such as SailPoint, CyberArk, or similar (advantageous)

• Basic understanding of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or PowerShell (a plus)
