Customs Compliance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the team in developing effective regional trade compliance strategies.

• Monitor and evaluate import data using the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), which includes entry summary, liquidation, and periodic monitoring reports.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the company's C-TPAT program, encompassing supply chain security risk assessments, validations, and annual reviews.

• Help in identifying, preparing, and submitting Customs Reconciliation entries.

• Engage in audits and promote process improvements.

• Address internal and external inquiries related to import and export compliance.

• Offer training and support to various functional areas.

• Keep abreast of compliance, operational, legal aspects, industry trends, tariff actions, and enforcement priorities.

• Oversee daily Customs Broker relationships, including performance monitoring, entry accuracy assessments, SOP alignment, and escalation of discrepancies.

• Assist in regional trade compliance investigations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• A US Customs broker's license is preferred.

• Over 4 years of experience in a similar regulatory trade compliance and supply chain position.

• Proficient understanding of customs compliance regulations relevant to product importation, including US Customs, FDA, and associated agencies.

• Hands-on experience with ACE reporting and periodic monitoring reports is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with C-TPAT program requirements and best practices in supply chain security.

• Experience with Customs Reconciliation filings is advantageous.

• Proven experience in managing or coordinating with Customs Brokers.

• Knowledge of compliance audit practices and procedures.
