This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Provide professional, skilled, and prompt assistance to both internal and external customers, as well as sales representatives, with order entry.
• Make outbound calls to current customers to identify additional product opportunities and enhance sales and services.
• Collaborate closely with Territory Representatives, Branch Offices, and Customer Lists to generate leads.
• Accurately enter customer transactions into the order entry system, including orders, quotes, and returns.
• Keep precise records of customers, territories, and facilities, documenting customer interactions effectively.
• Create and generate reports.
• Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure deliveries are made on time.
• Ensure adherence to Company, State, and Federal regulatory guidelines.
• Follow Accounts Receivable policies and practices diligently.
• Confirm prices and terms according to established procedures and customer profitability profiles.
• Efficiently multitask across various computer systems and communication platforms.
• Stay informed about company products, policies, and procedures.
• Build strong working relationships across business functions, with customers, and with manufacturing partners.
• Deliver customer service and sales support; address queries, respond to questions, and resolve issues.
• Relay essential customer information to outside sales representatives or relevant management.
• Identify customer needs and suggest specific products or solutions.
• Upgrade telephone orders effectively.
• Introduce and advocate for new products during calls.
• Identify sales opportunities through complementary product recommendations and analysis of past purchases.
• Initiate and complete follow-up actions to close sales opportunities.
• Employ selling processes and techniques to boost sales.
• Perform additional duties as assigned for Customer Service Representative III.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Outstanding customer service and organizational abilities.
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• General computer proficiency, including familiarity with MS Office.
• An Associate’s Degree or a comparable combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in SAP or a related ERP system is preferred.
• Ability to operate a computer or other office devices for most of the workday.
• Occasional requirement to move packages weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Capability to communicate with others in person, via phone, and in writing.
• Ability to comprehend and accurately exchange information with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting various electronic and written documents.
• Minimal local travel, up to 10%, for sales ride-alongs or training purposes.
