This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Serve as the primary contact for inquiries from both potential and current recipients and affiliates of the Iowa Medicaid Program.
• Deliver personalized telephone support to applicants, beneficiaries, and enrollees in customer service capacities.
• Precisely document enrollment requests and any changes in status.
• Input application and enrollment details into a web-based system for customers applying for the program via phone.
• Stay proficient in technical and program policy aspects of the Iowa Family Care rules/guidelines and related program policies.
• Supply clear, comprehensive, accurate, and objective information based on a thorough understanding of program requirements.
• Fundamental knowledge of a call center environment in a customer service capacity and familiarity with quality monitoring processes.
• Capability to establish and sustain effective working relationships with applicants, beneficiaries, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in problem-solving through analysis and continuous feedback.
• Achieve outcomes through knowledge, empathy, and dedication.
• Ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Background check is mandatory.
• Must live within a one-hour driving distance from Des Moines, IA.
