Customer Centric Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver advanced technical assistance to our expanding customer base through various channels (Zendesk, Zoom, Slack).

• Diagnose intricate issues related to software configuration, networking, and integrations — including log analysis, issue reproduction, and code debugging.

• Ensure our customers achieve swift and enduring success with DataHub.

• Serve as a trusted advisor, aiding customers in optimizing their usage and proactively addressing gaps or inefficiencies.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and ingestion teams to address escalations and enhance product functionality.

• Monitor customer health metrics and advocate internally (alongside our Customer Success team) for enhancements based on customer feedback.

• Contribute to customer-facing resources: FAQs, troubleshooting guides, training materials, and knowledge base articles.

• Continuously enhance your technical skill set through training, certifications, and self-guided learning.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or supporting complex enterprise applications.

• Proficiency and understanding of Python; general knowledge of frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, JavaScript, etc.; experience with data pipelines, ELT processes, and the modern data stack.

• Skilled in SQL and enterprise data platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Tableau, or Looker.

• Strong understanding of networking, system architectures, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with (and experience in) modern orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, GKE, AKE, Docker, etc.)

• Experience with UNIX commands and system administration/navigation.

• Proven experience troubleshooting and debugging code in enterprise environments.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — capable of clearly explaining technical details to customers at all levels.

• A strong desire to help customers succeed and a collaborative, empathetic mindset.

• Eagerness to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
