This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saudi Arabia.
• Take ownership of and oversee the daily custody operations workflow, which includes trade settlement (T+2), asset transfers, and position reconciliation for Saudi-listed equities, Sukuk, and fixed-income instruments.
• Act as the main point of contact for the Securities Depository Center (Edaa), the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul), custodian banks, and clearing entities.
• Design and enhance operational processes to boost efficiency, minimize risk, and support business expansion in alignment with CMA requirements.
• Lead the processing of corporate actions, such as dividends, rights issues, stock splits, mergers, and Zatka-related distributions.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to automate custody workflows and decrease manual interventions.
• Ensure adherence to CMA regulations, including the Securities Business Regulations, Investment Funds Regulations, and client asset segregation requirements.
• Coordinate with the CMA and other Saudi regulatory bodies during audits, inspections, and reporting cycles.
• Manage, mentor, and nurture a team of custody operations professionals.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in securities custody, clearing, or brokerage operations, ideally within the Saudi or GCC capital markets.
• In-depth knowledge of Edaa depository services, Tadawul settlement processes, and the Saudi securities lifecycle.
• Extensive understanding of CMA regulations, including Securities Business Regulations, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules, and client asset protection mandates.
• Familiarity with Saudi-listed asset classes such as equities, Sukuk, ETFs, REITs, and government bonds.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities in both Arabic and English, with a capacity to work across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience in managing reconciliation processes and investigating as well as resolving settlement discrepancies.
• Proven track record of developing, documenting, and refining operational procedures in a regulated setting.
• Strong attention to detail coupled with a risk-aware mindset.
• Experience in managing or mentoring a team.
