Curriculum Content Builder – Unit 1 & 2 Applied Computing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute a variety of teaching programs or curricula;

• Proficient in utilizing ICT learning platforms, particularly Canvas;

• Possess content knowledge and pedagogical skills to engage students in online education;

• Show dedication to enhancing professional practice through coaching and ongoing professional development;

• Ensure a child-safe environment that adheres to child-safe standards;

• Engage in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school, consistently following the school’s child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures;

• Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct;

• Identify and escalate concerns related to child safety in alignment with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures, including adhering to the Four Critical Actions for Schools;

• Ensure that students’ perspectives are respected and their voices are considered in decisions affecting their lives;

• Exemplify and advocate for the vision and values of the school;

• Instruct a segment of the curriculum for senior year levels and create online VCE courses for delivery;

• Maintain attendance records and track student progress;

• Implement effective student management strategies that align with the school’s strategic plan;

• Attend and engage in staff meetings as necessary;

• Actively participate in regular staff devotions and prayer sessions;

• Create high-quality online curriculum for VCE Units, in accordance with the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) subject-specific study design and project build specifications;

• Design engaging learning materials that assist students in grasping key concepts, practicing skills, and preparing for assessments;

• Apply robust subject knowledge and curriculum judgment to appropriately sequence learning within the relevant VCE Unit;

• Develop assessment and learning resources, including recorded lessons, that align with the school’s VCE expectations and foster consistent online delivery;

• Utilize digital learning tools effectively to prepare and organize course materials, including Google Suite and Canvas as necessary;

• Collaborate with ACC Victoria Online staff, responding to feedback and making necessary revisions to ensure curriculum quality and uniformity;

• Manage assigned timelines and deliverables with a strong emphasis on organization, accuracy, and professional communication;

• Exemplify and advocate for the vision and values of the school, including a commitment to child safety, student wellbeing, and confidentiality;


⛳️ Requirements

• Evidence of the right to work in Australia;

• Proof of identity;

• Recognized teaching qualification;

• Valid clearance status from the Working with Children Check (if applicable);

• Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT);

• Statements of service from previous roles connected to child welfare;

• References from previous child-connected positions;

• Be a committed Christian, comfortable with sharing your faith;

• Dedication to improving student academic outcomes;

• Hold high expectations for students’ academic and behavioral capabilities;

• Foster positive relationships with staff, students, and parents;

• Possess a servant heart;

• Exhibit excellent organizational skills;

• Have a strong understanding of VCE curriculum, assessment, and VCAA requirements in your subject area;

• Be confident in learning and utilizing digital learning platforms, especially Canvas and Google Suite;
