This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Initiate first contact with policyholders on farms or ranches that have recently experienced a loss.
• Conduct field inspections, interpret maps and aerial photographs, measure fields and storage bins, and gather production records of agricultural commodities.
• Evaluate damage or loss and collaborate with growers until the claim is resolved.
• Operate in the field, which may involve climbing grain bins and traversing rugged terrain over extended distances.
• Utilize judgment and knowledge of ProAg's adjusting guidelines for Multi-Peril Crop Insurance, Crop Hail, and Named Peril policies.
• High school diploma.
• Experience in crop insurance claims or compliance, or relevant agricultural experience and background.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in basic computer and internet applications.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel.
• Preferred completion of the Claim Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) certification and/or any applicable licenses mandated by State agencies.
