Crop Claims Field Adjuster I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Conduct field inspections, which involve interpreting maps and aerial imagery, as well as measuring fields and storage facilities.

• Engage with farmers to discuss findings related to crop loss on complex, non-routine, challenging, and contentious claims.

• Clarify intricate regulations and their interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry professionals.

• Carry out investigations into crop damage and relay loss information to assess potential indemnities.

• Collect pertinent facts, apply relevant laws, and establish foundational principles of negligence.

• Perform reviews and audits of claims for lower-level adjusters as assigned.

• Keep abreast of regulatory and company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.

• Collaborate on team projects and contribute to related outcomes as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• A minimum of 6 months' experience in the agricultural sector.

• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of employment.

• Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Capability to walk in agricultural fields for distances up to 3 miles.

• Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet high.

• Physical ability to lift between 25 lbs. and 50 lbs.

• Capacity to work outdoors in diverse temperatures and weather conditions.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level.

• Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster is preferred.
