This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the underwriting, structuring, and oversight of commercial credit relationships within a designated business line.
• Evaluate financial statements and determine borrower creditworthiness.
• Prepare credit approval documentation for the assigned specialized sector or region.
• Track financial trends, ensure covenant compliance, and analyze borrowing bases to pinpoint credit risks and suggest actions.
• Work collaboratively with sales and credit teams to structure transactions, resolve underwriting questions, and meet client requirements.
• Guide analysts in financial evaluation, credit structuring, and risk assessment.
• Remain updated on market developments, credit policies, and risk management strategies.
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion in decision-making concerning the assigned portfolio.
• Analyze and address issues related to the assigned portfolio.
• Undertake special projects and other duties as necessary.
• Comply with regulatory, compliance, federal, state, and local standards and complete all necessary compliance training.
• Preferred undergraduate degree (4 years or equivalent).
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a relevant field, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• At least 3+ years of experience in credit underwriting, portfolio management, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in a direct specialized business line, such as specialized commercial sectors, capital markets, or corporate commercial banking.
• Strong capabilities in financial analysis and risk evaluation.
• Basic knowledge of loan structuring and credit agreements.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and credit decision-making tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• In-depth understanding of financial statements, key ratios, and credit assessment principles.
• Capability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and evaluate borrower creditworthiness.
• Precision in financial analysis, credit documentation, and risk evaluations.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with relationship managers, credit officers, and stakeholders.
• Competence in managing multiple loan requests, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing tasks.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
• Familiarity with credit analysis software.
• Eagerness to develop credit expertise, stay updated on industry trends, and apply new knowledge.
