Credential Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess, process, and update student degree audits as program requirements are fulfilled.

• Offer clear and comprehensive guidance to students, faculty, and staff regarding credentialing requirements, timelines, and procedures.

• Collaborate with the Advising Office to assist students encountering complex credentialing issues or unique circumstances.

• Contribute to the enhancement and refinement of credentialing processes, policies, and workflows to boost efficiency and student satisfaction.

• Link licensure documents to student files.

• Act as the primary contact for UMass Global staff to determine the suitable credential and/or degree programs for current students.

• Regularly collaborate and communicate with staff and faculty about student progress in fulfilling program and credential requirements.

• Address student inquiries regarding licensure requirements.

• Process, review, and endorse students to the Commission on Teaching Credentialing (CTC) for all student teaching, licensure, credential authorizations, and state certificates, including but not limited to out-of-state verifications and student qualifications for supplementary authorizations.

• Serve as the liaison to County Offices, School Districts, and other entities within the school system concerning licensure requirements.

• Assist the Assistant Director, Credentials, and the Assistant Director of Clinical Practice in gathering data for state and federal reports.

• Participate in CTC workshops for credential analysts and conferences.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Previous training as a recommending agent by the CTC is preferred.

• Experience with student teaching placement, accreditation, and credential processes is preferred.

• Strong background in team collaboration and customer service.

• Proficient in using technology to enhance efficiency and streamline overall workflow.

• Understanding of the P-12 system and organizational processes related to MOU and Human Resources.

• Familiarity with CTC and Accreditation policies concerning licensure and student teaching.

• Proven capability to manage sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.

• In-depth knowledge of credentials and accreditation policies.

• Ability to navigate a complex system of auditing, evaluating, and analyzing information.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of drafting professional correspondence and accurately interpreting and conveying credentialing requirements, timelines, and processes.

• Strong attention to detail, able to verify records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Excellent organizational skills, including effective planning and time management to meet deadlines.

• Proven ability to cultivate and sustain cooperative working relationships.
