This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Formulate and execute a comprehensive business strategy tailored to the unique dynamics of the South African market, focusing on corridor expansion and enterprise engagement.
• Take ownership of revenue generation, profit margins, and the overall country profit and loss statement.
• Lead the acquisition of key strategic clients, manage renewals, and oversee high-value accounts.
• Foster robust partnerships with banks, fintech companies, payment service providers, digital wallets, remittance services, marketplaces, and enterprise clients.
• Ensure adherence to South African regulatory standards, including compliance with FSCA, SARB regulations, licensing requirements, and AML/KYC protocols.
• Guarantee seamless end-to-end customer experiences with a focus on retention, system uptime, service level agreements, and overall customer satisfaction.
• Analyze market trends, competitive actions, and local customer behaviors.
• Act as the company’s representative at industry conferences, regulatory meetings, partner engagements, and media interactions.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in senior leadership, country strategy, or general management positions within the fintech, payments, or financial services sectors.
• Demonstrated commercial achievements in high-growth, regulated markets.
• Strong skills in profit and loss management, budgeting, and financial oversight.
• In-depth knowledge of the South African payments ecosystem, foreign exchange, and regulatory landscape.
