Country Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kenya.

📋 Description

• Take charge of regional revenue objectives, margin performance, and cost management.

• Create and implement a comprehensive growth strategy for East Africa, focusing on Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.

• Cultivate structured relationships with key partners.

• Actively engage with relevant regional regulators to secure regulatory approvals, LONOs, and other necessary licenses.

• Supervise the quality of onboarding processes, success metrics, SLA performance, and escalation of issue resolution.

• Build and lead a high-performing local commercial team.

• Track trends related to political, liquidity, FX, and mobile money risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in senior leadership, country strategy, or general management within fintech, payments, or financial services.

• Strong familiarity with the mobile money infrastructure in East Africa.

• Demonstrated experience in P&L ownership.

• In-depth knowledge of regional cross-border trade corridors.

• Experience in engaging with central banks and regulatory authorities.
