Cost Estimator – Lifecycle Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold sophisticated lifecycle cost models, which include Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCE) and demand forecasting tools.

• Conduct parametric cost estimation, regression analysis, and data normalization using historical data to pinpoint cost drivers and trends.

• Assess design alternatives and evaluate costs throughout the entire product lifecycle, from development to end-of-life.

• Analyze technical documentation such as blueprints, P&IDs, and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to gather precise cost inputs.

• Assist in warranty reserve planning and cost-recovery strategies through financial modeling and trend analysis.

• Produce pricing inputs and financial assessments for retrofit and upgrade initiatives.

• Examine lifecycle cost trends, margin performance, and financial exposure to guide strategic decisions.

• Perform sensitivity and scenario analyses to evaluate risk, quantify uncertainty, and establish suitable contingencies.

• Create and deliver clear, data-driven business cases that support lifecycle investment choices.

• Collaborate across functions with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to convert technical assumptions into commercial and financial results.

• Clearly present and defend intricate financial analyses to leadership and key stakeholders with confidence.

• Maintain a keen attention to detail to guarantee precision in cost assumptions, estimates, and reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Operations, Business Analytics, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).

• At least 6 years of experience in cost modeling, lifecycle analysis, or operations analytics.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.

• Familiarity with systems such as ACEIT (or comparable cost estimating tools), Power BI, and SAP ERP.

• Exceptional skills in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
