This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Draft written correspondence and engage with clients via telephone to collect, review, and process enrollment materials for CaliforniaChoice participants.
• Possess expert knowledge of all responsibilities associated with the MPC Enrollment Rep I role.
• Exhibit understanding of Correspondence duties as determined by departmental assessments, along with the following:
• Comprehend company policies and procedures as they relate to CaliforniaChoice plans.
• Accountable for reviewing and processing various forms, including but not limited to: Employee Applications, Change Request Forms, Employee Termination Forms, and Web-Based Forms.
• Identify and gather missing or incomplete information on forms according to established guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Adhere to the department's Pending Item process.
• Compose clear and concise written correspondence (such as pending item requests, denials, confirmations, memos, letters, etc.).
• Make outgoing calls to acquire missing or incomplete information on forms.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all products and systems utilized in the job function (such as Pegasus, doc-link, SharePoint, etc.).
• Input appropriate comments clearly and succinctly into Pegasus and/or Doc-Link.
• Meet departmental standards regarding the quality and quantity of work performed.
• Uphold departmental and team standards for turnaround times.
• Comply with all PHI (Personal Health Information) guidelines.
• Assist with departmental training requirements as necessary.
• Regular attendance and punctuality, whether onsite or remote, are essential functions of this role.
• Perform additional business tasks or functions as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of three (3) years of office and/or customer service experience is required.
• At least one (1) year of data entry experience is necessary.
• Experience in customer service and phone etiquette is essential.
• Strong communication skills (written, grammatical, and verbal) are required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with employees and customers at all levels.
• Must have a keen attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills are required.
• Capable of building commitment and overcoming resistance to change.
• Ability to retain large volumes of information is essential.
• Must accurately type a minimum of 50 words per minute.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Publisher, SharePoint, Outlook) and web-based technology.
• Must be highly motivated, self-initiating, accountable, and possess excellent interpersonal and service-oriented skills.
• Knowledge of the healthcare insurance industry is a plus.
