Core Faculty – Full-time Nursing, FNP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Primarily responsible for delivering instructional activities within the nursing programs.

• Skillfully and efficiently utilizing online technologies and resources, including providing well-informed feedback and constructive critique in a timely and articulate manner.

• Enhancing the online learning environment to foster student learning by creating innovative, challenging, and evidence-based educational opportunities.

• Analyzing learning assessment data to refine teaching methods and curriculum; engaging in quality improvement initiatives to achieve program and institutional objectives.

• Maintaining the standards expected at the masters/doctoral level regarding program and course learning outcomes.

• Instructing three to four designated courses/sections each trimester in alignment with faculty expectations as detailed in the USAHS employee handbook.

• Providing effective supervision for scholarly projects and practicum experiences.

• Participating in program and university committees as assigned.

• Engaging in university governance, curriculum development, and activities that promote institutional growth and advancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A terminal degree in nursing (PhD or DNP) is required.

• Must hold an active and unrestricted RN license in the home state and be eligible for licensure in all 50 states.

• Current national certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is essential.

• An APRN license in the home state as well as in states where students reside, if necessary.

• A robust record of intellectual and professional contributions to the nursing field, including experience in education and nursing practice.

• Teaching experience is mandatory; experience teaching at the doctoral level is preferred. Rank will be determined at the time of hire based on teaching experience, publications, scholarship, and committee involvement.

• Required experience in teaching advanced practice nursing, particularly in the PMHNP role, if assigned to PMHNP coursework.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in distance learning.
