Contractor Shortform, Ad Scriptwriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct research on trends and utilize analytics to develop scripts that enhance audience engagement and promote channel growth.

• Prepare script documentation, including notes, outlines, and reference materials.

• Create original scripts that align with project objectives and target audiences while preserving CatFace’s tone and logical structure.

• Generate short-form content inspired by current and emerging trends within young adult and children’s internet culture.

• Engage in feedback sessions and modify scripts based on direction from management and creative leads.

• Deliver formatted scripts that include metadata such as cast lists, SEO tags, and resource links.

• Work collaboratively with Production and Editing teams to ensure scripts are ready for hand-off and address any follow-up inquiries.

• Occasionally support transcription or documentation efforts.

• Update creative and theme documentation as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a scriptwriter or in a comparable creative position.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to produce engaging, audience-centric scripts.

• Proven experience writing for young adult or children’s media.

• Proficiency in crafting dialogue, editing, and proofreading, with attention to tone, pacing, and emotional impact.

• Familiarity with Minecraft lore is essential.

• Ability to learn the Blockbuster mod.

• Understanding of YouTube gaming content trends and platform dynamics.

• Capability to interpret and implement feedback for content aimed at children and young adults.

• Analytical mindset to utilize viewer insights and/or video metrics to enhance content engagement.

• Ability to independently manage individual projects while collaborating with producers, editors, and creative leads.

• Effective communication skills and prompt follow-up, especially when working remotely or asynchronously.

• Availability to coordinate and communicate during core business hours, 9:00am–5:30pm CT (GMT-6:00), when actively involved in a project.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
