This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist with the preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of various contracts, such as NDAs, Master Services Agreements, and Statements of Work.
• Manage and coordinate the vendor management process, including identifying potential risks in agreements, RFPs, and overseeing the vendor management system.
• Update and maintain the contract management system, ensuring all contracts are stored appropriately, tracked efficiently, and that relevant metadata is accessible to the organization.
• Perform legal research and create summaries on pertinent laws, regulations, and industry standards to aid in contract negotiations and compliance efforts.
• Provide administrative support to the legal team, which includes scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining legal files and records. Serve as a point of contact for internal departments and external parties regarding contract-related inquiries and issues.
• Assist in training staff on contract policies and procedures, offering guidance on contract-related matters.
• Conduct all business activities in accordance with Higher Logic's policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• Solid understanding of contract law, legal terminology, and fundamental principles.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate contract terms, ensuring advantageous outcomes for the organization.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing and drafting contracts.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple contracts and deadlines concurrently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
• Capability to analyze contract terms and conditions to pinpoint potential risks and offer recommendations.
• Proactive in identifying and resolving issues related to contracts.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and contract management software (e.g., DocuSign, Ironclad, Torii, Salesforce, etc.).
