This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.
• Contribute to the design, specifications, and development of creative content and new assessment products, systems, or services.
• Utilize databases and technological tools to create, track, and edit assessment items.
• Coordinate schedules and communicate project details with project managers and functional teams such as Graphics and Publications.
• Develop assessment item types in accordance with standards frameworks and requirements.
• Create and maintain item, test, and project specifications.
• Develop and refine multiple-choice, short-answer, constructed-response, evidence-based response, technology-enhanced items, modules, and performance tasks that align with standards.
• Create item-specific scoring guides, rationales for distractors, and additional item information.
• Conduct training sessions on item writing and test development tasks.
• Provide training and feedback to item writers.
• Review colleagues' work and offer constructive feedback.
• Coordinate the presentation and quality of items, sets, and work products.
• Prepare materials for committee meetings and facilitate advisory committees.
• Create and analyze test blueprints.
• Interpret item statistics for item selection and construct tests according to blueprints and specifications.
• Consult with scoring chief readers during benchmarking.
• Assist with assessment guides, brochures, and sample question packets.
• Collaborate with Psychometricians to develop items that meet content and psychometric parameters, including adaptive testing banks.
• Analyze trends in national and professional content standards and learning.
• Engage in personal and professional development.
• Perform related or unrelated tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree.
• At least five (5) years of experience in Education.
• Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in educational assessment.
• Demonstrated experience in test development competencies.
• Experience in alternate assessment is highly preferred.
• Preference for candidates with special education experience.
• A Master's degree in Education is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge in a specific discipline.
• Education/degree combined with teaching experience must be in English/Language Arts.

• Ability to train and coordinate both internal and external team members, including freelancers, consultants, and item writing houses.
