This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Conduct research, compose, edit, and publish premium blog articles centered on fundraising, nonprofit best practices, product education, and industry developments.
• Oversee and coordinate with external writers to facilitate the creation of expert-written and thought leadership content.
• Assist in implementing Donorbox's content calendar, ensuring timely delivery of content that aligns with campaign goals.
• Aid in the creation of content for strategic initiatives, including SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), customer retention programs, and product launches.
• Transform existing content into various formats such as email campaigns, landing pages, guides, social media content, and customer communications.
• Perform content audits and spot opportunities to refresh, enhance, and optimize the performance of existing content.
• Build, manage, and optimize email campaigns using ActiveCampaign.
• Maintain audience segmentation, contact lists, and automation workflows to bolster campaign targeting and personalization efforts.
• Assist in crafting email copy for product launches, promotions, customer education, and lifecycle marketing initiatives.
• Track campaign performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and engagement trends, while providing improvement recommendations.
• Support A/B testing efforts aimed at continuously enhancing email performance.
• Implement SEO and AEO best practices in content creation and optimization processes.
• Conduct topic research and competitor analysis to uncover new content opportunities.
• Collaborate with SEO/AEO and product marketing stakeholders to enhance organic visibility and search performance.
• Support projects aimed at increasing visibility across both traditional search engines and AI-driven answer engines.
• Work alongside Product Marketing, Growth, Customer Success, and Product teams to generate content that aligns with company goals.
• Coordinate with designers to create supporting visual assets for blogs, email campaigns, and guides.
• Ensure all content is consistent with Donorbox's brand voice, messaging framework, and style guidelines.
• Monitor content and campaign performance through analytics tools and provide regular updates on key metrics.
• Utilize data-driven insights to discover opportunities for content optimization and audience engagement.
• Keep abreast of trends in the nonprofit sector, fundraising best practices, developments in AI-driven search, and innovations in content marketing.
• A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related discipline.
• 5-7 years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or content writing.
• Proven experience in B2B SaaS marketing is essential.
• Experience within the nonprofit sector is highly desirable.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a track record of producing high-quality content.
• Experience managing email marketing campaigns and marketing automation platforms (ActiveCampaign experience is strongly preferred).
• Knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research, and content optimization methods.
• A solid understanding of AEO, AI search trends, and the evolving landscape of content discovery channels is a significant advantage.
• Experience coordinating freelance writers, agencies, or external contributors is preferred.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.
• An analytical mindset with experience in reviewing content and campaign performance data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
