This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
β’ Industry Commentary & Reactive Content: In response to significant events within the app ecosystem β such as policy changes, platform shifts, monetization trends, and regulatory updates β you will craft or commission RevenueCat's perspective. Your contributions will ensure a consistent flow of original commentary that positions RevenueCat as a leader with keen insights into the app economy. You will not only report on developments but also elucidate their importance and guide developers on subsequent considerations.
β’ Company Communications & Amplification: Take charge of RevenueCat's external messaging and outreach during pivotal company moments and significant content releases. When RevenueCat needs to communicate β whether it's a product announcement, milestone, policy statement, or executive thought leadership piece β you will be the writer. Collaborating closely with product marketing, you will enhance major product launches beyond the initial blog post, linking them to the overarching narrative of the ecosystem. For major reports or research releases, you will manage the promotional narrative and outreach, including selective media engagement, influencer outreach, newsletter pitches, and podcast mentions.
β’ Social Voice & Presence: Create opinionated, perspective-driven social media content that enhances RevenueCat's reputation through industry commentary, insights on ecosystem changes, and narrative framing for key moments. Your focus will not be on managing the daily social calendar or scheduling promotional posts; instead, you will be the voice behind the posts that engage followers because RevenueCat has valuable insights to share.
β’ Voice & Narrative Consistency: Ensure that all output from RevenueCat maintains a consistent tone that reflects the company's identity β opinionated, developer-centric, genuinely useful, and distinctly non-generic B2B marketing. You will not serve as a gatekeeper but will be the go-to person for the team when they seek to ensure that content resonates effectively.
β’ A minimum of 7 yearsβ experience in content marketing, brand communications, editorial, or a similar role that demanded strategic thinking combined with hands-on writing skills.
β’ Outstanding writing abilities. You can produce a sharp, opinionated industry analysis as well as a polished corporate announcement. Your portfolio demonstrates a wide range of styles and voices.
β’ Familiarity with the app ecosystem, developer tools, or a related B2B/tech domain. You possess informed opinions on current events and their significance.
β’ A narrative-oriented mindset. You consider how a company's story is communicated across all platforms, not just through isolated pieces of content.
β’ Experience in content distribution and amplification. You have strategized on how to ensure content reaches a broader audience, beyond just its creation.
β’ Proficiency in interpreting data and research outcomes. While you won't be conducting the analysis, you need to understand it sufficiently to craft compelling narratives, sharp social media posts, or effective pitches.
β’ Strong editorial discernment. You can identify which topics deserve a response and which do not, enabling you to act swiftly without compromising quality.
β’ Comfortable utilizing AI tools to enhance research and drafting processes while recognizing areas where human judgment remains irreplaceable.
β’ Competitive equity in a rapidly growing Series C startup supported by top-tier investors, including Y Combinator.
β’ A 10-year window to exercise vested equity options.
β’ A fully remote and flexible working environment.
β’ 4-5 weeks of recommended annual leave for mental, physical, and emotional rejuvenation.
β’ A $2,000 USD allowance for workspace setup and an annual $1,000 USD stipend for ongoing learning.
