📋 Description

• Create realistic simulation concepts, narratives, characters, interaction dynamics, and scenario frameworks that mirror real-world workplace environments and foster valuable opportunities for skills practice.

• Investigate and compile pertinent information regarding the target audience, industry, role, context, interpersonal relationships, skills, and prevalent performance challenges to ensure that simulations are genuine, credible, and beneficial.

• Develop materials for participants, clients, and internal stakeholders that prepare learners, effectively convey the purpose and advantages of simulations, and facilitate accurate and consistent delivery of simulations.

• Compose scoring criteria and assessment guidelines that support valid evaluation of participant performance, actionable feedback, and valuable insights for customers.

• Facilitate design consultations with clients and subject matter experts to gather context, establish simulation specifications, confirm authenticity, and enhance simulations throughout the development cycle.

• Collaborate iteratively with AI tools to produce a genuine and effective simulation design, assuming both the designer and producer roles.

• Educate and assist Simulation Specialists and/or Coaches in comprehending the simulation design, character interactions, scenario objectives, and expectations for live simulations.

• Utilize feedback, performance data, testing insights, and stakeholder contributions to sustain, update, and enhance simulations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a capacity that involved designing, developing, researching, or writing complex human-centered content, experiences, or scenarios. Relevant experience may include learning experience design, behavioral skills development, content strategy, conversational design, applied research, facilitation, simulation design, assessment design, screenwriting, character-driven narrative design, scripted improv, or similar fields.

• Proficient writing, editing, and synthesis capabilities, with the skill to convert complex contexts into clear, realistic, and purposeful simulation materials for diverse audiences. Relevant writing backgrounds may include content design, instructional or learning experience design, journalism, screenwriting, creative writing, narrative design, communications, technical writing, or related fields.

• Outstanding attention to detail, with the ability to meticulously review requirements, feedback, simulation materials, and client/participant-facing content for precision, clarity, consistency, and quality.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguity and complexity, including the aptitude to ask insightful questions, identify areas requiring clarification, and advance work without a detailed blueprint.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and executive presence, with the ability to build trust, engage constructively with colleagues and cross-functional partners, lead discussions with clients and subject matter experts, ask thoughtful questions, and represent Mursion’s simulation design methodology with credibility and professionalism.

• Capacity to work independently and manage multiple projects or workstreams within a remote, fast-paced startup environment.

• Technical curiosity and practical experience utilizing AI tools for research, drafting, analysis, or creative development, with a proven track record of learning new tools and methodologies.

• Preferred (but not mandatory): educational background or coursework in psychology, behavioral science, anthropology, communication, organizational behavior, learning sciences, assessment, research methods, creative writing, theater/improv, or related fields.
