Consultant – Strategic Framework for Private Sector Engagement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create a strategic and operational framework to enhance collaboration with the Canadian private sector;

• Discover high-value partnership opportunities that align with GAC priorities;

• Develop scalable models that incorporate private sector participants;

• Improve the capacity to achieve sustainable WASH outcomes while promoting shared goals;

• Perform situational analyses and prioritize sectors;

• Create practical partnership models along with an implementation roadmap;

• Report directly to the Director of International Programs at WaterAid Canada.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in international development, strategy, or private sector collaboration;

• Proven experience with public-private partnerships and/or blended finance models;

• In-depth knowledge of Global Affairs Canada programming and funding mechanisms;

• Experience in the WASH sector is mandatory;

• Background in climate resilience, infrastructure, ESG, or sectors related to international trade;

• Established experience in strategic planning and facilitation;

• Excellent analytical, stakeholder engagement, and report-writing abilities;

• Experience working with stakeholders from the Canadian private sector is a valuable asset.
