This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Full responsibility and leadership for the entire project in alignment with design, budget, and timeline.
• Plans, directs, manages, and engages in the formulation of divisional work plans, encompassing all construction projects and facilities services operations.
• Allocates work tasks to staff members and evaluates projects and contracts for adherence, taking necessary actions to address any discrepancies.
• Acts as the primary liaison to both internal and external stakeholders regarding capital planning and construction initiatives.
• Oversees and contributes to the development and management of budgets for facilities services and construction projects.
• Monitors and authorizes expenditures as needed.
• Develops, plans, and participates in the realization of divisional objectives.
• Initiates and suggests actions to achieve these goals.
• Actively engages in strategic planning and goal-setting activities related to assigned responsibilities.
• Represents the Company as an agent interfacing with and overseeing all third-party agencies, vendors, and contractors.
• Provides assistance to Executive Leadership and advises professional staff on relevant issues and areas of responsibility.
• Prepares and delivers various reports and necessary correspondence.
• Supervises and takes part in the development of RFQs, RFPs, bids, contracts, and proposals for construction and facility operations.
• Serves as the primary Company representative concerning agreements.
• Negotiates and manages contracts with external agencies, vendors, architects, engineers, operators, and others.
• Oversees property rentals, leases, and other property management duties.
• Develops, implements, and assesses programs and strategies aimed at ensuring safe, functional, secure, clean, and orderly facilities for efficient and economical operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, or a minimum of 15 years of professional construction experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in Construction Management/Engineering with a background in Mission Critical/Data Center or Heavy Industrial.
• PMP Certification is preferred.
• Awareness of BIM and a comprehensive understanding of the industry are required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading large cross-functional teams and/or managing personnel, with the capacity to assemble and lead effective construction teams in a large General Contractor environment.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, CSI building codes, and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with all types of Owner/Design/Contractor agreements and the ability to navigate project-related issues within those agreements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint for communicating program updates to executive levels, and Excel for creating and maintaining site program and individual project budgets.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with construction management software (e.g., document control and scheduling software such as ProCore and P6).
• Proficient in technology with intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Suite of Products).
• Experience in developing project cost proposals and negotiating terms of agreements between the Company and clients.
