Construction Field Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Visit construction sites to document progress and readiness for interior casework installation.

• Educate and collaborate with general contractors and owners on achieving readiness for an efficient casework installation.

• Coordinate access, storage, readiness, schedule, phasing, hoisting, and jobsite rules, among other factors.

• Attend jobsite progress meetings.

• Conduct quality control inspections of casework installations.

• Ensure compliance with Nycom installation standards.

• Work alongside project management to coordinate installation subcontractors and schedules.

• Uphold safety protocols and maintain jobsite cleanliness.

• Manage the delivery of materials.

• Take field measurements at jobsites.

• Assess schedule progress and verify adequate manpower availability.

• Create punch lists and ensure proper and timely completion of installations.

• Provide project status updates to project managers.

• Accountable for completing each project on schedule and within budget.

• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to effectively establish solid business relationships with architects, facilities personnel, end users, and general contractors.

• Physically capable of working in the field at construction sites on a daily basis.

• Communicate accurately and promptly with all departments within Nycom, as well as with our clients.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural plans, shop drawings, carpentry, and project closeout administration.

• Capable of coordinating work with mechanical, plumbing, and electrical trades.

• The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in managing time and priorities while working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• A pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check will be required prior to starting employment.
