This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
• Manage compliance programs for storage tanks owned by client companies.
• Facilitate regulatory inspections and prepare compliance documentation.
• Ensure that notices of violation are resolved and documented appropriately.
• Supervise release detection and testing processes, troubleshoot any failures, and report suspected releases within required timeframes.
• Oversee vendor compliance activities from initial creation through to closure.
• Follow up with contractors for documentation and prioritize activities needing field service.
• Monitor new sites, renovations, acquisitions, closures, and construction escalations.
• Verify that sites and tanks are accurately registered, configured, and documented.
• Maintain daily client relationships.
• Keep precise site-level records in the compliance platform.
• Develop portfolio expertise, conduct inspection-readiness assessments, manage activity backlogs, establish vendor relationships, and orient client contacts.
• Obtain or advance Class A and Class B operator certification for each applicable state.
• Independently interprets and applies regulations.
• Guides vendors through documented closure processes without needing reminders.
• Comfortable being the primary contact for regulators.
• Documents tasks as they are completed.
• Maintains composure and precision under strict deadlines.
• Appropriately escalates issues and manages routine tasks independently.
• Enjoys fostering a positive team environment.
• Capable of managing a multi-state portfolio while adapting to varying state regulations.
• Participation in spill response rotation and prompt inspection-date responses is required.
• Preferred, though not mandatory: Class A and Class B operator certification in one or more states.
• Preferred, though not mandatory: Experience in managing a multi-site underground storage tank portfolio.
• Preferred, though not mandatory: Familiarity with Titan or a similar compliance platform.
• Preferred, though not mandatory: Established relationships with state agency inspection and compliance staff.
• Must reside in Florida, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Illinois, Texas, or Arizona.
