Compliance & Certifications Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee the internal aspects of Credibur’s ISO 27001 certification as well as the upcoming SOC 2 certification.

• Collaborate with external advisors and spearhead the internal certification strategy.

• Gather and organize certification evidence while monitoring deliverables until completion.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance internal policies.

• Ensure the governance framework remains current as the company expands.

• Manage compliance related to outsourcing and guarantee that reporting to bank partners is both accurate and timely.

• Execute vendor due diligence and sustain continuous third-party risk assessments.

• Organize and maintain contractual agreements.

• Perform initial contract reviews.

• Assist legal counsel with daily operational matters.

• Collaborate closely with the founder and external advisors.

• Incorporate legal and certification requirements into company operations while keeping employees informed and engaged.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately two to five years of experience in compliance, governance, risk management, or auditing.

• Background from an advisory or auditing firm, or in-house experience at a fintech or regulated entity.

• Practical experience with at least one certification such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or a similar standard.

• Knowledge of auditor expectations and what constitutes effective evidence.

• A pragmatic, risk-based approach to compliance.

• Ability to coordinate across various teams and maintain adherence to deadlines.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Proficient written communication skills in both German and English.

• Regulatory and bank-partner communications are conducted in German.

• Familiarity with MaRisk or DORA is advantageous.

• A degree in risk, compliance, or security management is a plus.

• Knowledge of outsourcing regulations is also beneficial.

• Experience in lending, payments, or financial services is a plus.
