This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma, +4 more states.
• Actively collaborate with the sales team regarding the application pipeline, leveraging data to focus on specific competitive positions aimed at enhancing sales opportunities.
• Oversee the inbox and phone queue for requests pertaining to competitive illustrations.
• Analyze the John Hancock application pipeline and sales trends, offering recommendations to boost sales by capitalizing on competitive opportunities.
• Keep abreast of competitor activities and industry trends, providing insights to management and the Sales & Distribution teams.
• Track competitor actions and identify market trends and sales opportunities related to product initiatives or promotions.
• Provide in-person support for proactive illustrations and case design with the internal sales desk.
• Assess significant competitor actions and deliver constructive feedback to sales teams.
• Develop content for “Competition Corners” to effectively position our products against other carriers.
• Conduct periodic calls with the Distribution team to share the latest insights on winning competitive cases.
• Collaborate with Product Management to ensure accurate representation of competition throughout the product development process.
• Engage in ongoing training and education, with a focus on case design expertise.
• 3-5 years of experience in life and annuity products, Competitive Services, and/or Sales.
• Outstanding communication skills with a proven track record of effectively delivering life insurance and annuity product messages.
• Comprehensive understanding of the IMO life and annuity marketplace, including product design and mechanics.
• Familiarity with John Hancock Life Insurance’s product mechanics and distribution strategy.
• Expertise in life and annuity product and case design.
• High-level critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to interpret and understand any illustration, regardless of product line or carrier.
