Commercial Lighting Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Installation & Retrofit: Implement new lighting systems, fixtures, and associated components in accordance with project specifications.

• Carry out LED retrofit conversions and energy-efficient lighting enhancements.

• Mount, wire, and connect lighting fixtures, ballasts, and controls.

• Maintenance & Repairs: Identify and rectify issues with lighting systems, ballasts, drivers, lamps, and wiring.

• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as re-lamping, cleaning fixtures, and inspecting electrical connections.

• Replace damaged components to ensure proper functionality and compliance with standards.

• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Utilize electrical testing equipment to identify faults.

• Adhere to all OSHA and company safety protocols.

• Accurately complete work orders and service reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or apprenticeship is preferred).

• Over 2 years of experience in commercial lighting or electrical work.

• Familiarity with a variety of lighting systems, controls, and energy-efficient technologies.

• Capability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.

• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, lifts, and ladders.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

• Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must be willing to travel for 6-8 weeks at a time.
