Commercial Lighting Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Installation & Retrofit: Execute the installation of new lighting systems, fixtures, and associated components in accordance with project specifications.

• Perform LED retrofit conversions and upgrades to enhance energy efficiency in lighting.

• Maintenance & Repairs: Identify and rectify issues in lighting systems, including ballasts, drivers, lamps, and wiring.

• Conduct routine maintenance duties such as re-lamping, cleaning fixtures, and inspecting electrical connections.

• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Utilize electrical testing equipment (such as multimeters and clamp meters) to detect faults.

• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety practices, including lockout/tagout procedures.

• Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete work orders and service reports.

• Travel to various commercial job sites, which may require overnight stays based on project requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferably with trade school or apprenticeship experience).

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial lighting or electrical work.

• Familiarity with various lighting systems, controls, and energy-efficient technologies.

• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.

• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, lifts, and ladders.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

• Capacity to work at heights and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
