This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality managers to provide comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialized food service equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen machinery.
• Interpret diagrams and schematics effectively.
• Communicate with manufacturers to facilitate diagnoses and identify necessary parts.
• Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for onsite technical support.
• Install customer-ordered parts promptly and professionally in accordance with company policies.
• Promote and suggest additional Smart Care services as required.
• Generate accurate and timely work orders, time reports, receipts, and truck stock inventory logs.
• Adhere to safe work practices and preventive measures against accidents.
• Keep the service vehicle organized and maintain precise inventory of parts and tools.
• Meet productivity standards as set by the company.
• Participate in an emergency on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
• Occasionally travel overnight as assigned.
• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Willingness and capability to engage in emergency on-call rotations, including nights and weekends.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as required.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Physical ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• Capability to work with moving mechanical components, pressurized steam equipment, open flames, heated surfaces, liquids, and electrical hazards in damp, humid, or freezing environments.
• Ability to work on ladders, roofs, and other elevated surfaces.
• Preferred: relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications such as EPA or CFESA.
• Preferred: experience in commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair.
• Preferred: self-motivation with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
