Coder II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Code intricate surgical procedures across various specialties.

• Analyze operative notes and procedural documentation.

• Code charges for provider offices and hospitals for all departments backed by professional billing.

• Code advanced surgical services, procedures, and evaluation and management services.

• Ensure adherence to official coding guidelines and payer standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Must successfully pass the internal coding assessment.

• Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in physician/professional complex surgical and E&M coding within a healthcare system or medical office environment.

• Experience in complex surgical coding, including OB/Gyn, Gastrointestinal, Neurology, Orthopedics, Cardiovascular, Cardiothoracic, Urology, ENT, Plastic Surgery, and General Surgery.

• CPC, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA certification is required.

• Knowledge of the professional billing revenue cycle process is preferred.

• Familiarity with Epic and other coding applications is preferred.
