This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and implement CMS modules, templates, content architectures, and system workflows tailored to enterprise mission needs.
• Develop and manage API integrations, backend data connections, and communication points across various systems.
• Create and sustain secure single sign-on processes, identity integrations, and authentication frameworks.
• Establish search architecture, indexing methodologies, metadata frameworks, and enhancements for content discovery.
• Provide oversight for coding, conduct technical assessments, and ensure compliance with security, maintainability, and accessibility standards.
• Lead planning for CMS modernization, evaluate platform enhancements, and propose long-term architectural improvements.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DoD security regulations, perform patching, engage in secure coding practices, and address vulnerabilities.
• Work alongside infrastructure teams on deployment strategies, cloud hosting solutions, performance tuning, and scalability initiatives.
• Assist in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical prioritization in collaboration with product owners and PMO personnel.
• Resolve complex CMS and integration challenges, conduct root cause analyses, and suggest sustainable solutions.
• Generate technical documentation, architecture diagrams, development guidelines, and API specifications.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of high performance within the development team.
• Must possess an active Secret clearance, validated by a Tier 3 background investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in software development, CMS development, or enterprise application engineering.
• Proven experience in architecting CMS components, templates, modules, API integrations, or enterprise web applications.
• Demonstrated experience in developing secure code that complies with DoD, federal, or industry cybersecurity standards.
• Experience with integrating authentication systems, identity providers, and single sign-on frameworks.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex code, integrations, or interactions within enterprise environments.
• Strong grasp of CMS frameworks, content modeling, templates, themes, and module/plugin architecture.
• Experience in developing REST APIs, JSON integrations, and service-layer interactions.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices that align with DoD cybersecurity guidelines.
• Familiarity with search technologies, indexing services, metadata design, and content discovery methodologies.
• Proficient with version control, code review procedures, and contemporary development practices.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
• Experience with headless CMS, microservices, or decoupled architectures is preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps principles is preferred.
• Experience with frontend frameworks or component-based UI approaches is preferred.
• PMP, CSM or equivalent, and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner certifications are preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to lead architectural discussions and offer expert technical guidance.
• Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing secure, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Capability to balance immediate development needs with strategic long-term modernization goals.
