Cloud Solution Architect – AWS, DBX

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable AWS cloud architectures with a strong emphasis on networking and platform stability.

• Architect and oversee AWS networking components (VPCs, routing, egress control, hybrid connectivity).

• Construct and sustain the Databricks platform architecture on AWS, ensuring adherence to best practices and scalability.

• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform, focusing on reusable and modular designs.

• Define and execute cost allocation models across various tenants and projects.

• Design and create CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Declarative Automation Bundles – DAB) to facilitate automated deployments.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish platform standards, governance, and best practices.

• Propel automation initiatives aimed at minimizing manual operations and enhancing reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong practical and architectural experience with AWS cloud environments.

• In-depth expertise in AWS networking, including VPC design, egress control strategies, and hybrid (on-premises & cloud) connectivity.

• Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure and network automation.

• Extensive experience with Databricks on AWS, encompassing platform setup and management, along with a thorough understanding of Databricks architecture and components.

• Solid knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) within both AWS and Databricks.

• Experience in constructing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Capability to operate at both hands-on and architectural levels.

• Nice to Have: Experience with Microsoft Azure, familiarity with multi-cloud environments, and a background in platform engineering or internal developer platforms (IDP).
