Cloud Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Design and document comprehensive cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud.

• Lead the creation of highly available, scalable, and secure multi-region cloud environments, incorporating disaster recovery strategies with clearly defined RTO and RPO objectives.

• Establish and implement cloud governance frameworks, covering tagging, identity and access control, and cost-effective infrastructure designs.

• Take ownership of defining and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure, ensuring support for blue/green deployments, canary releases, and best practices in infrastructure-as-code (IaC).

• Collaborate closely with DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Application, and Security teams to ensure architectural decisions align with business requirements.

• Define and manage observability standards, guaranteeing robust monitoring, alerting, and telemetry pipelines for production workloads.

• Continuously assess and advocate for the adoption of cloud-native technologies, tools, and industry best practices to enhance system resilience and maintainability.

• Act as an escalation point for critical production issues concerning cloud infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience (8+ years) in cloud architecture, with substantial hands-on expertise across AWS, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud.

• Profound understanding of high availability, scalability, resiliency, and security within cloud-native environments.

• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.

• Strong expertise in establishing and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

• Specialized knowledge in disaster recovery planning, multi-region failover, and system hardening.

• Solid foundation in networking, IAM, containerization (Kubernetes), and service mesh technologies.

• Experience collaborating with geographically dispersed teams and managing stakeholders across various time zones.

• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
