Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Implement Cloud Security Controls: Enforce and sustain security best practices across AWS, GCP, and Azure to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Assess Cloud Environments: Analyze client infrastructures to detect security risks, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities, offering specific remediation suggestions.

• Deploy and Manage Security Tools: Set up and oversee SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and identity solutions to enhance cloud security posture.

• Support Compliance Initiatives: Aid in SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA efforts through the implementation, testing of controls, and validation of evidence.

• Automate Security Operations: Create and manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) scripts to streamline and enforce uniform cloud security controls.

• Conduct Cloud Security Reviews: Execute architecture assessments and configuration reviews to guarantee secure design and adherence to best practices.

• Collaborate with Engineering Teams: Integrate security measures into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows to mitigate vulnerabilities early in the lifecycle.

• Assist in Incident Response: Investigate and resolve cloud-related security incidents to minimize risk and restore integrity.

• Communicate with Clients: Directly engage with clients through various channels to address security concerns and provide actionable advice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience securing AWS, GCP, or Azure environments.

• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, network security, and compliance controls.

• Proficiency in security automation using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Python, or Bash.

• Working knowledge of compliance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, or HIPAA.

• Experience with the Microsoft security and identity ecosystem, encompassing Azure, Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), EDR, MDM, and VDI environments.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities in English.

• Capability to manage multiple client projects while interacting directly with US-based clients.
